“Open your eyes; look at the world around you; observe every tiny-little detail and you will realize how beautiful the world is!”
There are times in everybody’s life when things don’t happen exactly as we want them to. There are times when life does test our character in ways that are beyond our understanding. Life has always been about survival of the fittest and not everyone survives through these tests.
When things go our way, doesn’t everything seem so perfect? Doesn’t everyone seem so good to us? Don’t we feel so good about everything? Doesn’t life seem so beautiful? Then what exactly does happen when things start going wrong! The nature remains the same; people remain the same; hell, we remain the same; life remains the same. What changes is our perspective.
“Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”— one tends to find such phrases clichéd, but see how beautifully it describes the situation. The world is how we look at it. We get so involved in the bigger picture that we miss out on those small beautiful aspects of life. We keep ourselves busy in school, college, job, and while we are involved in these, we more often than not ignore the years, months and days of our lives. In order to secure our future, we forget to live the present, and by the time we realize that, it already becomes too late.
We need to correct our perspective before this realization dawns on us. We need to live life. There is so much beauty around us; all we need is to open our eyes and observe it. Be it watching the rain drops trickle down from leaves or talking to a friend looking at a star-studded sky or just savouring a chocolate to the last bit; even such seemingly small things give us immense pleasure! There is something in these tiny-little things that lets us free of all the tensions and pressures of life and lets us be in the moment. Even a few such moments in a day compensate for all the troubles that marked the rest of the day.
In nutshell, no one can survive without the fight that life is, but if we just search for those few moments every day, everything automatically gets back on track.
Life indeed is beautiful — there are hidden treasures of happiness everywhere. All we need to do is to search for these from heart and I promise you’ll never be disappointed!
Beautiful thought. Reminded me of a poem 'Leisure' by William Henry Davies that goes like:
ReplyDelete"What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare..."
